One donut is just bad luck. Two donuts — which I have seen many times — requires serious premeditation and procurement skills.

Its a bad picture, i didnt realize until after i posted it. Theres only one donut, but it was one of those moments where i realized how big tires are getting.

It’s really only intended to get you to the nearest possible place to get the tire repaired.

Theoretically, if that is more than a mile or two, the front tire should be swapped to the back to preserve the rear differential, and the spare put on the front, and the front drivetrain locked out to let the front open diff not try to apply torque... and then still drive slow, and only as far as absolutely necessary.

As long as the rolling diameter is close, and the vehicle speed is appropriately l ow, it is probably not too detrimental.

I realized that, just didn’t think it was that out of the ordinary. I still hate that manufacturers are using the compact spare tire to save maybe one cubic foot. I honestly would rather use slime and a compressor 99% of the time. The need to actually change a tire is pretty rare in the modern era.

Or BMW with their insanely overpriced, harsh runflat tires that can’t even be repaired.
